GOLD NOTES

NUGGETS FROM THE WORLD OF RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
2023 Tile Trends

Chances are, you’ve got porcelain or ceramic tile somewhere in your home. It’s commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mud rooms and casual entryways. But tile, especially porcelain, can be a fantastic design material for just about any space in or outside your house or condo. My latest Forbes.com article chock full of eye candy! explains why. I’ll be speaking with my three expert sources this afternoon on Clubhouse, so please join us for that.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the latest materials, trends and production technologies at the Coverings expo in two weeks! (See link below in TRADE TALK section.)

TRADE TALK

I’ve been attending Coverings expos for more than a decade. It’s a great event to see the latest in global tile trends, styles and technologies without a passport. The top three tile regions of the world for bringing tile to the US are Spain, Italy and North America, so rather than travel across a continent and ocean to Bologna or Valencia, I can hop a plane to Orlando or Las Vegas. This year, for the first time, I’ll be leading a Wellness Tour and presenting my WELLNESS ADVANTAGE presentation. Here’s a 2023 Coverings Show link for design and building industry colleagues to register and attend. My talk is at 12:30 PM on Thursday, April 20 with a book signing before (Noon) and tour afterward (2 PM).
