I turned 60 last December. I had been dreading it earlier in the year, but after some reflection, I came to welcome it with excitement. “I’m going to be even cooler in my 60s than I was in my 50s or 40s!” I declared to friends. My thinking: I’m going to stay as healthy and active as I can and positively thrive in this new decade of my life. Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, one of the highest peaks in the world as a 60-something will be pretty rad, won’t it? In the meantime, I’m shopping for a new home with a yard that I can enhance with wellness features, and enjoying my wellness design consulting career. How about you? Do any of these six trends for 55-plus homebuyers fit your life and wish list?
