Add a Fireplace To Your Home for Wellness and Resale!

I’ve always loved having a fireplace. One of my favorite ways to end a long day at Chez J, my suburban San Diego area townhouse, is sitting on my couch, fireplace on, feet up on my ottoman, a mug of herbal tea in hand. Turns out, I’m onto something here!

One of my health experts shared a study in my latest article that says relaxing in front of a fire can help your mind and body destress. Heck, yeah! (The fact that having a fireplace also enhances the appeal of a real estate listing is also a plus.) Here’s just about everything you could want to know about adding a fire feature to your home — inside or out.

My three expert sources will be WELLNESS WEDNESDAYS guest moderators this afternoon on Clubhouse. You can join in at 4 pm ET, 1 pm PT here.
