Covid-19 has impacted millions of lives around the globe and across the country, sadly taking too many in the process. During the months since it hit our shores, much has been learned about this new coronavirus. The latest information is that it is far more transmissible than earlier believed, spreading in aerosolized form far beyond the six foot radius long recommended for social distancing, especially in closed, poorly-ventilated spaces. This will impact school and business reopenings, but can also put you and your loved ones at risk where you live!
My latest Forbes.com piece explores the latest science on this topic, and some wellness design solutions you can implement to protect yourself and your family.

Not long after the pandemic struck, I created a home health guide for making the extended time at home easier, safer and more functional. I just updated the guide with more tips and the latest science. You can download a FREE copy here.
If you’re one of the many people who have read and enjoyed my latest book, Wellness by Design: A Room-by-Room Guide to Optimizing Your Home for Health, Fitness and Happiness, (Simon & Schuster/Tiller Press), which just published September 1, please take a few minutes to write a review on Amazon, Goodreads or another favorite book site. Here’s a fillable form you can use to create a review, then copy/paste it to multiple sites and make reviewing faster and easier. (You might need to download the form to your computer, depending on which operating system and browser you’re using.) Your 4 and 5 star reviews are greatly appreciated and help other readers find the book too.
Thank you in advance.
I shared the benefits — and some tips — of home organization in a sponsored guest post on the Wellborn Cabinet Blog. There’s also lots of eye candy to enjoy with the post.
Window Works wrote a terrific review of my new book on the company’s blog, accompanied by some cool tips from their window pros too.

Design pros can also catch a recording of the Coverings Connected Healthy Buildings, Healthy Homes tile and stone webinar that debuted on August 26 here. They ran into a technical snafu so you can see the slides, but not us presenters! (And I was having a really good hair day too.)
You can also catch my design industry article on tile trends from my latest Kitchen & Bath Design News Trend Spotting here.
Very proud that the National Kitchen & Bath Association shared my book with my colleagues in the design and construction industry. You can read that post here.
