When I was growing up in Brooklyn, New York, we went back to school right after Labor Day. In many regions of the country, the school year begins much sooner. Where I am now in San Diego County, kids are returning this week! Yikes! I’m confident that my latest piece for Forbes.com can be helpful to these young people and their parents. I interviewed two pros, one child psychologist and one designer with years of kid spaces, for their insights. Here’s a link. Both of those experts will be speaking with me — and hopefully you! — on Clubhouse this afternoon. Here’s a link to join the conversation, ask your questions, get new ideas for your kids’ bedrooms, bathrooms, play and study areas, as well as creating a kid-friendly kitchen and other shared spaces in your home. (If you’re not yet on that platform, the link will help you join faster.)

I was delighted to be quoted in a Better Homes & Gardens article this week. Here’s a link to 10 Must-Have Home Upgrades That Are Actually Worth It. My comment is in the first upgrade, but read them all!
