NUGGETS FROM THE WORLD OF RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
Landslide Risks Are Growing Nationwide — What To Know

I love the ocean. I love walking along its surf line, letting it wash over my bare feet. I love looking at the beautiful homes on the bluffs overlooking it and envying their views. But there’s absolutely no way I’d buy one of them! The stunning California coast has a long history of devastating landslides. Bad news for me — and maybe you! Landslides are increasing in frequency and are occurring in all 50 states and territories. Yikes.

Read my latest Forbes.com article on what you should know and do if you own a home, are buying a home, or planning to build one. And definitely check out the uber-helpful USGS Landslide Basics Page I linked from the article too.
