I don’t share this story often, but I felt compelled to do so after another spate of mass shootings this summer. What could I contribute to the health and safety of my fellow citizens? I also wrote about the storm surge disaster that Floridians experienced last week with Hurricane Ian — and the lasting impact it’s likely to leave. You can read that here.
On a related note, Back in 2006, I worked on the designs for a two-family home in the same area that Ian struck. The property, located on a barrier island near Sanibel and Captiva in Southwest Florida, had been flattened by Hurricane Charley two years earlier. I kept searching last week for information on how Useppa fared in this latest storm. I was so relieved when a friend pointed me to this Facebook post:
