Where do you see yourself on the smart home tech spectrum? Are you asking Alexa to play your favorite tunes? Are you hoping your Nest thermostat will achieve bedroom harmony with your too-hot or too-cold partner? Are you monitoring your Ring doorbell for porch pirates? These are all highly-popular mass market smart home technology devices. But they’re a sliver of what’s possible, helpful and healthful for your life and home.
I explore seven of the hottest wellness-enhancing smart home technology trends with three pros in my latest Forbes.com piece. You’ll have a chance to ask these experts your questions this afternoon in my next WELLNESS WEDNESDAYS Clubhouse conversation too. (FYI, you no longer need an invitation to this audio drop-in platform. I think of it as interactive podcasting, since you get to ask questions, share ideas and be part of the event.)

One of the top wellness designers in the country shares her insights on adding healthy features to your kitchen, bathroom and overall home with a blog. I was honored to see her include my Wellness by Design book in her “Picks.” You can read Paula Kennedy’s insights here.

THANK YOU NOTE
I get offered a ton of stuff every month from public relations firms wanting exposure for their clients’ products. Most of the offers get a polite ‘thanks, but no thanks’ response. But when the offer is for plush towels made with non-toxic fibers and finishes from a well-respected American brand, my answer was a resounding yes! This set feels deliciously soft and fluffy against my skin — the perfect follow-up to rough trail miles! Thank you, Therapedic! I look forward to many years of healthful comfort and joy! Seems like I’m going to have to get myself some more of these. (Happily, they’re sold through Bed, Bath & Beyond, so it won’t be hard to add them to my linen closet.)
