Wellness and Sustainability Star in New Design Trends Report

The American Society of Interior Designers 2024 design trends report just published and, no surprise, wellness figured prominently. But so did wellness plus sustainability and resilience and mental health and working from home. Check out the findings here and, more important, how designers across the country are implementing them in their clients’ homes!

What can these suggestions offer your place? I know I’m taking notes! Here’s a link to the design trends article on Forbes.com this week.

  • I was thrilled to be quoted in the Washington Post again last week. The topic of this new article is making your kitchen health-friendly. Lots of great insights from colleagues too. Check it out!
  • I’ll be heading to Design & Construction Week on Monday and am looking forward to seeing the latest products and trends at the combined International Builders’ Show and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. This mega-event is one of the largest expos in the country!
  • One feature I’m especially looking forward to seeing is the Ukrainian delegation. (I encouraged them to participate as a member of the Global Connect group  after seeing their pavilion at Las Vegas Market last year.)I wrote about that for Forbes.com in a one-year-anniversary article about the Ukrainian war.) Here’s some info about the companies and products the Ukrainians are bringing to KBIS for any of my friends who specify design and remodeling projects.
