Design Pros Share Tips For Living Room-Based Work From Home Spaces

Did you start working from home during the pandemic last year? Millions of Americans did, and many didn’t have a dedicated room to handle this new function. In many two-person households, one was already working from home and set up in a home office when the pandemic struck and a partner was also now needing to bring their work home. That turned into a bigger trend and challenge than many realized.

My latest piece focuses on creating a work from home space in your living room, both for one person and two. I hope it’s helpful to you or maybe someone you know. Feel free to share a link.

It’s the time of year when we all look to enhance our health with new fitness goals. Especially this year, when so many have spent the last 15 months cooped up. Maybe you’re planning to run your first — or fastest — 5K. Maybe you’re going to bag your highest peak this summer. Whatever you’re planning, your home can support or sabotage your fitness goals. I created this new FREE download to help you get there with some room by room wellness by design tips.

Clubhouse Update

If you didn’t catch last week’s tremendous session with Eric Goranson, you missed out on the opportunity to ask one of the top pros in the industry about creating a wellness-friendly outdoor living space at your home. The next best thing is to listen to the recording below. Maybe someone else asked your question.

Next up is a back-to-school-friendly conversation with two pros on creating a healthy home space for your kids. That happens on 7/21 at 4 PM Eastern/1 PM Pacific. If you click the link below, it will help you join Clubhouse if you’re not already on and add the event to your calendarI

These are all of the past and upcoming Wellness Wednesdays events on the Clubhouse app. All are scheduled for 4 PM Eastern/1 PM Pacific the first and third week of the month! Hope you’ll join us for one or more. In case you can’t make it, I’ll be sharing links to the recordings afterward, as you’ll see below.

Save the Date!

I’m going to be a presenter at the San Diego Union-Tribune‘s 2021 Festival of Books on Saturday, August 21. I love this event and am excited to be invited to share tips on creating a healthy work from home space! I’ll let you know when my time slot has been confirmed. This event will be virtual again, so you don’t even have to leave your home to participate.

Food for Thought #21: Wellness Design Lessons We Should Learn from the Pandemic - There’s an expression I heard last year during the early months of the pandemic that resonated with me: “We’re all in the same storm, but not in the same boat.” Some of us were able to work from home, reducing our exposure to the virus.
